We’re proud to announce that Holland Adhaus has been recognized with a 2026 Silver ADDY Award for Film for Hardball: Three Strikes, Not Out, a documentary series produced in partnership with Beacon Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine.
The American Advertising Awards, commonly known as the ADDYs, are one of the advertising industry’s largest and most respected competitions, attracting more than 30,000 entries annually. The competition recognizes excellence in creative work across advertising, marketing, branding, and media production at the local, district, and national levels.
For our team, this project was about much more than creating a documentary.
As lifelong Cincinnati Reds fans, we had the unique opportunity to follow pitcher Tejay Antone through one of the most challenging chapters of his career. The series documents his journey through multiple surgeries, setbacks, and an extraordinary commitment to returning to the mound. Throughout the process, we witnessed firsthand the resilience, determination, and mental toughness required to keep fighting when the odds seem stacked against you.
From filming interviews and behind-the-scenes moments to crafting the final edits, every episode reinforced the central message of the series: sometimes the most important victories happen long before the scoreboard reflects them.
Hardball: Three Strikes, Not Out tells a powerful story of perseverance, grit, and refusing to give up. While the series highlights the expertise and care provided by the team at Beacon Orthopaedics, it also serves as a reminder that recovery—whether in sports, business, or life—is rarely a straight line.
The recognition doesn’t stop with the ADDYs. The series has also earned four Telly Awards, further validating the impact of the story and the collaborative effort behind it.
We’re grateful to Beacon Orthopaedics for trusting us with such an important project, and we’re especially thankful to Tejay for sharing his journey with authenticity and vulnerability.
Congratulations to Tejay Antone, Beacon Orthopaedics, and everyone who helped bring this story to life.
And of course…
Let’s go, Reds.
A Story Bigger Than Baseball
Produced in partnership with Beacon Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, the documentary series gives viewers an honest and emotional look inside the physical and mental challenges of recovery at the professional level.
From surgery and rehabilitation to setbacks and small victories, the series captures the reality behind what athletes endure away from the spotlight. But even for people who aren’t baseball fans, the message resonates universally: keep showing up, keep fighting, and don’t let setbacks define your story.
