SUMMARY
We are seeking a creative and versatile Web and Graphic Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both web design/development and graphic/digital design, with proficiency in WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite, Elementor, and email platforms. This employee will be responsible for assisting Holland’s Creative Director and Web Developer in the creation and management of client websites, digital and graphic designs, research, and problem solving. This role requires a creative mindset, technical skills, a keen eye for design aesthetics, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Web Design and Development:
- Design and develop visually appealing, user-friendly websites for clients across various industries.
- Collaborate with the creative team to conceptualize and execute web design projects that align with client objectives and brand identity.
- Utilize WordPress and Elementor to create custom websites, landing pages, and interactive elements.
- Ensure responsive design and optimal performance across different devices and browsers.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continually enhance design and development processes.
Graphic Design:
- Create engaging and impactful visual assets, including logos, marketing materials, social media graphics, and advertisements.
- Translate client requirements and creative briefs into compelling design concepts that resonate with target audiences.
- Maintain consistency in design elements and brand guidelines across all marketing collateral.
- Incorporate feedback from clients and team members to refine designs and achieve desired outcomes.
Team Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with team to understand client goals, preferences, and feedback throughout the design and development process.
- Present design concepts and prototypes to internal teams, explaining rationale and soliciting feedback for revisions.
- Collaborate closely with account managers and other stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction and project success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in web design/development and graphic design roles, preferably in an agency setting.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant web technologies.
- Expertise in WordPress and experience with page builders like Elementor.
- Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices for website optimization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail, creative problem-solving skills, and a passion for innovation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Desire to stay up to date on the newest web and design trends, news, and updates.
- Takes personal responsibility for on-time deliverables.
- Willingness to learn about our various clients from a variety of industries and understand their products/services and brand.
- Familiar with standard workspace and management tools (Google Docs, Dropbox, Slack, Office, etc.)
- Familiar with or willing to learn the basics of email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, etc.)
- General understanding of marketing analytics and making data-driven recommendations.
- Hubspot and marketing automation experience a plus.
